Utah Women and Newborns Quality Collaborative (UWNQC – pronounced “you-wink”) is a state-wide network of professionals dedicated to improving the health of Utah’s moms and babies. The UWNQC network consists mainly of obstetric (mom) providers, pediatric (baby) providers, health payers and state and community organizations. UWNQC originated with the purpose of discussing strategies to reduce preterm births (a birth occurring before 37 weeks) and now has projects relating to neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS), out-of-hospital (OOH) birth transfers and pregnancy-induced hypertension.
