Paying for preventive care

If you have health insurance

  • Folic acid vitamins
  • Sexually transmitted disease (STD) screening and counseling
  • Breast cancer genetic test counseling (BRCA)
  • Breast cancer (mammogram) screenings
  • Cervical cancer (pap test) screening
  • Domestic violence screening and counseling
  • Tobacco use screening and interventions
  • Well-woman visits

If you don't have health insurance

If you don't have health insurance, there are programs that can help you.

In 2019, Utah implmented a full Medicaid expansion. The expansion extends Medicaid eligibility to Utah adults whose annual income is up to 138% of the federal poverty level. Learn more and apply for Medicaid on Utah Medicaid's website.

If you currently don't have insurance, Utah’s Premium Partnership for Health Insurance may be available to help with the cost of health care.
